Bryan G. Riggs, MAI, SR/WA

Mr. Riggs is a Certified General Real Estate Appraiser, a Member of the Appraisal Institute holding the MAI designation and a Senior Member of the International Right of Way Association (SR/WA). He is qualified as an expert witness in Orange and San Bernardino County Superior Courts and Federal Bankruptcy Court, has testified in arbitrations in Ventura, San Bernardino and Los Angeles County Superior Courts, and has taught at Glendale Community College and California State University, Northridge.

Mr. Riggs has served the Southern California Chapter of the Appraisal Institute in various capacities, including Admissions/Experience Review Committee Member, Central Coast Branch Chapter Merger Committee Chair, Seminar Coordinator, Education Coordinator, and Education Vice Chair. He has also served the International Right of Way Association (IRWA), Chapter 1, as Fall Annual Seminar Committee Chairperson, Treasurer, Vice President, President, and nominations and Awards Committee Chair. Mr. Riggs was honored by IRWA Chapter 1 as Professional of the Year in 2007.

Mr. Riggs' appraisal experience includes:

  • Appraisals of vacant land, residential, and income producing properties
  • Preparation of narrative appraisal reports, feasibility studies, rental surveys, highest and best use studies, and discounted cash flow analyses
  • Appraisals of numerous property types, including theaters, shopping centers, residential estates, mobile home parks, post offices, bowling alleys, schools, gas service stations, lumberyards, billboards, religious institutions, self storage facilities, and cold storage facilities
  • Eminent domain appraisals for road widening, freeway realignment, and redevelopment projects involving full fee, permanent easement, and temporary construction easement acquisitions, including determination of severance damages and/or benefits
